Terms of Service
01What FixAllyScore is
FixAllyScore is a desktop application for Canvas LMS accessibility remediation. It connects to your Canvas account using a personal access token, scans your course content for accessibility issues, generates fixes, and publishes approved corrections back to Canvas. Everything runs locally on your computer.
FixAllyScore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instructure, Canvas, or Ally. Those are trademarks of their respective owners. We are an independent tool that works with the Canvas API.
02The free tier and paid plans
FixAllyScore offers a free tier and paid subscriptions:
- Scan (free): Connect any Canvas account, scan unlimited courses, and see every accessibility issue with severity ratings. No credit card required. Free forever.
- Professor ($19/month or $149/year): Everything in Scan, plus auto-generated fixes for all issue types, side-by-side review, PDF remediation, PowerPoint and Word doc fixes, one-click publish to Canvas, and email support. Includes a 7-day free trial.
- Department ($12/seat/month, 5-seat minimum): Everything in Professor, plus multi-course dashboards, compliance reporting, and priority support. Billed annually.
We may adjust pricing in the future. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.
03Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel your subscription at any point from within the app or by emailing us. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access for the remainder of that period, but we do not issue prorated refunds.
- Free trial. The Professor plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged for the first billing period.
04Your content
You own your course content. FixAllyScore does not claim any rights to your syllabi, lecture slides, assignments, PDFs, images, or any other materials in your Canvas courses.
Your content never leaves your machine. FixAllyScore downloads course data from Canvas to your local computer, processes it locally, and writes corrections back to Canvas directly. We do not receive, store, or have access to your course content at any point.
05Your Canvas token
To connect to Canvas, you generate a personal access token from your Canvas account settings and paste it into FixAllyScore. This token is stored locally on your computer and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
You are responsible for your Canvas account and token. Treat your token like a password. If you believe your token has been compromised, revoke it immediately in your Canvas settings and generate a new one.
We are not responsible for any actions taken through your Canvas account, whether by FixAllyScore or otherwise.
06Fix accuracy and your approval
We do not guarantee that every generated fix will be correct. FixAllyScore uses automated methods to generate accessibility corrections. Some fixes may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your specific content.
That is why every fix is shown to you for review before it is published. You approve, reject, or edit each fix individually. Nothing is published to your Canvas course without your explicit approval.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving fixes before publishing them. Once you click "publish," those changes are written to your Canvas course. We are not liable for any changes published to your Canvas as a result of using FixAllyScore.
FixAllyScore keeps a local history of every change so you can revert individual fixes or entire batches after publishing.
07Limitation of liability
FixAllyScore is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that fixes will achieve any particular Ally score or accessibility standard.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixAllyScore and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the application.
Our total liability for any claim related to FixAllyScore shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
08Acceptable use
You agree to use FixAllyScore in accordance with your institution's policies and applicable law. You will not:
- Use FixAllyScore to access Canvas courses or accounts you are not authorized to manage.
- Redistribute, reverse engineer, or modify the FixAllyScore application.
- Use FixAllyScore in a way that violates the Canvas API terms of service.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by email or through the application. Your continued use of FixAllyScore after the updated terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
We will always post the current version of these terms at fixallyscore.com/terms.
